Newbury's cardboard Donnington Castle 'topples early'

A giant cardboard replica of Donnington Castle was toppled by the wind before it could be dramatically demolished as part of a celebration of the artwork, organisers have said.

French artist Olivier Grossetete assembled "The People's Tower" in Newbury town centre with help from members of the public on Sunday, and those who built it were supposed to demolish it on Monday.

However, organisers said "very gusty" weather brought it down early.
