£3m restoration project at Reading Abbey begins
Work has begun on the £3m restoration of the final resting place of Henry I.
Reading Abbey was built in the 1100s under orders of the king and took 40 years to complete.
The construction team have a target of one year to get the historic site ready for its public opening in 2018.
