Swift card: Cashless travel to cut congestion
A card that can be used instead of cash on buses is being tried out as a way to encourage people to use public transport.
The Swift card is one a number of projects aimed at cutting congestion across the West Midland.
Conrad Jones, from Centro, said: "[The card] is specially for the West Midlands and it's being trialled by 10 bus operators across just over 100 routes at the moment."
He said that if successful the card will be rolled out across the region by the end of the year.
