Raptor electric bike brings £1.5m of orders since launch

An electric vehicle, designed and created in Dudley, has been bringing in world-wide sales and the production line expects to be making at least 2000 a year by 2015.

The Raptor was the brainchild of brothers Paul and David Loomes, and since it's launch last year has seen orders amounting to £1.5m.

The company that makes the vehicle, Eco-spin, has already created six jobs and another 10 are expected next year.

Managing director, Paul Loomes, told BBC Midlands Today's Bob Hockenhull that they are looking to sell "in excess of 300 vehicles this year".
