Tributes paid to Birmingham stab victim Joshua Ribera

Tributes have been paid to Joshua Ribera, who was stabbed to death in Birmingham on Friday.

The 18-year-old was killed outside TC's club in Selly Oak on Friday. He had been attending an event in memory of Kyle Sheehan, who died in a stabbing a year ago.

Mr Ribera, who was a rapper from the Moseley area of Birmingham, used the stage name Depzman.

Members of the music industry joined his friends in paying tribute.

Councillor Gareth Moore said further work needed to be done in Birmingham schools to combat knife crime.

Det Supt Mark Payne of West Midlands Police said everyone in the city had a role to play to discourage young people from carrying knives.
