Npower to close sites in Oldbury and Stoke-on-Trent.

Energy giant Npower is to cut 1,400 jobs as part of a major restructuring of its UK operations.

The energy firm plans to close its Stoke-on-Trent site in Fenton next June, with the loss of about 550 jobs.

Quayside House in Oldbury, West Midlands, will also close, with the loss of 400 jobs.
