Teen rapper Joshua Ribera inspires knife surrender

The death of a teenage rapper who was killed outside a nightclub in September has inspired a "knife surrender" in the West Midlands.

Joshua Ribera, 18, known as Depzman, had released a successful music video prior to the attack in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Now West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Bob Jones has said he wants to use the "grief and energy" of Joshua Ribera's fans to encourage others to abandon knives.

Peter Wilson spoke to Joshua's mother Alison Cope, Mr Jones and Craig Aspinall, Joshua's friend.
