Appeal over 'shocking' Wolverhampton knife attack
A youth worker who had his face slashed during an attempted mugging has appealed for help in catching the man who attacked him.
Gareth Howles, who lost a pint of blood in the attack, underwent a two-and-a-half hour operation following the attack last month.
Mr Howles has now spoken about the attack in Fowlers Park, Wolverhampton, in an attempt to prevent others falling victim to knife crime.
Giles Latcham spoke to Mr Howles and Det Insp Mark Rushden from West Midlands Police, who described the attack as "shocking".
