'Jazzy Jim's' photographs of top bands go on display

A Birmingham jazz musician who took photographs of bands in their early days - including the Rolling Stones, Little Richard and Marianne Faithfull - has had his work exhibited in the city.

Jim Simpson took the pictures when the performers played in The Crown pub in Birmingham.

Mr Simpson, known as Jazzy Jim, is behind Birmingham's International Jazz Festival. He also discovered heavy metal band Black Sabbath.

BBC Midlands Today's Satnam Rana met Mr Simpson and Dave Travis, who is exhibiting the photographs at the Havill & Travis Gallery.
