Memories of Birmingham's last trams as they make return

Trams ran in Birmingham between 1904 and 1953 before being replaced by buses.

At its peak, the original tram network ran 230 million passenger journeys every year from Yardley to Dudley, and from Erdington down to the Lickey Hills.

They returned to Birmingham's streets with the opening of an extended Midland Metro service in December under a £128m project.

Inside Out West Midlands will take a look back at when the city bid farewell to its last tram at 19:30 on BBC One on Monday.
