Birmingham family joy as cat returns after four years

A family from Birmingham has been reunited with its pet cat which disappeared four years ago.

Roman, a six-year-old tabby, went missing without a trace, and the Thompsons, from King's Heath, feared they'd never see him again.

He was taken to the PDSA animal hospital in Aston where staff found he was microchipped. It meant they could trace his owners.

"When Roman went missing we were all devastated," said Rachel Thompson. "It's unbelievable really."
