Drone gives bird's eye view of Black Country aqueduct
A 200-year-old aqueduct that has undergone extensive repairs has been filmed from the air, offering a fresh look at the engineering ingenuity behind a historic canal network.
Smethwick's Engine Arm Aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford in 1825, was drained earlier this year after it was found to be leaking.
The structure carries the Engine Arm Canal over the Birmingham Canal Navigation.
Historically it helped transfer a vital supply of water from Edgbaston Reservoir to ensure the canals around the West Midlands were kept topped up.
