Speeding drivers outside school face kids' court

Motorists stopped for speeding outside a school are being offered a new choice of punishment.

Drivers caught by West Midlands Police near Montgomery Primary Academy, in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham, can either choose points on their licence or go to a kids' court, where they face questions from a panel of children.

Birmingham City Council is hoping to extend the scheme across the city to try to reduce the numbers of children involved in accidents.
