Birmingham Six: Hill's story on stage

One of the men wrongly convicted for the Birmingham pub bombings in 1974 is having his life story depicted in a play.

Paddy Hill, who as one of the Birmingham Six spent 16 years in prison, said he was fascinated by the production called "I confess", which is being worked on at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow.

The title is intended as black humour because Mr Hill has always protested his innocence.

The Birmingham Six were were freed by the Court of Appeal in 1991 after their convictions were ruled unsafe.

Inquests into the 21 people who died are due to resume next year.
