Surgeon Ian Paterson grotesquely abused trust, solicitor general says
A breast surgeon who intentionally wounded his patients abused their trust "in a grotesque way", Solicitor General Robert Buckland has said.
Ian Paterson, 59, was found guilty in May at Nottingham Crown Court of 17 counts of wounding with intent and has had his 15-year jail term increased to 20 years.
Jurors also convicted him of three further wounding charges.
