Birmingham police save two people after blaze breaks out
Police have rescued two people after a fire broke out in a neighbouring property in Birmingham.
Firearms officers broke through the front door to reach the pair after being called to back up fellow officers.
It was initially thought the fire in Villa Road, Lozells, had been started deliberately.
However, West Midlands Police said investigations showed it was probably ignited by a discarded cigarette.
