Bristol study into blood transfusions after heart surgery

A study by the Bristol Heart Institute suggests giving surgery patients a blood transfusion before their haemoglobin levels fall could be beneficial.

BBC Points West health correspondent Matthew Hill spoke to Bob Harvey who had the treatment after becoming anaemic after a heart bypass operation three months ago.
