Nightglow marks start of Bristol Balloon Fiesta

The Bristol Balloon Fiesta kicked off on Thursday with the ascent of the first balloons.

Thousands headed to Ashton Court for the nightglow at 21:15 BST, where tethered balloons lit their burners in time to music.

Organiser Clive Bailey said: "The pilots and crew work really hard and we love putting on the show."
