Becky Watts murder trial: Accused 'heard door slam'

Shauna Hoare, who is accused of murdering Becky Watts, told Bristol Crown Court on Monday that she heard the front door of her Bristol home slam, and assumed the teenager must have gone out.

A police interview, recorded a week after Becky died and before Ms Hoare was arrested, was shown to the jury.

Ms Hoare, 21, denies murder, conspiracy to kidnap, perverting the course of justice, preventing burial of a corpse and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Her boyfriend, Nathan Matthews, 28, has admitted manslaughter but denies murder.

The trial continues.
