New S-shaped bridge built across river

A new S-shaped bridge has been installed across the River Avon in Bristol.

The £2.7m pedestrian and cycle way - which links Castle Park and Hawkins Lane - will provide a route to the planned Finzels Reach development.

The structure was carried by barge in 20-ton sections and craned into place, taking several days to install.

It is due to open to the public early next year.
