Children in tears over theft of Bristol school budgies

Pupils were left in tears after the budgerigars were stolen from their primary school's aviary.

Thieves were spotted on CCTV breaking into Brentry Primary in Bristol on Wednesday night.

Hannah Jack, school business manager, said the theft was "completely devastating for the whole school community".

Anyone with information about the stolen birds has been asked to call Avon and Somerset Police.
