Former Bristol Marks and Spencer shop supports independents
A city centre department store made up of 27 independent businesses is inspiring other local authorities to make use of empty high street shops.
Sparks opened in Bristol in 2023 in the building of the city's former flagship Marks and Spencer store, offering a multi-use space with a focus on sustainability.
It is run by Global Goals Centre and Artspace Lifespace who are able to use the site for free while the council looks for a more permanent tenant.
