St Neots author Joseph Wills, 12, has publishing wish granted

The dreams of a 12-year-old boy who lives with a rare life-threatening genetic condition have come true as his first science-fiction novel, The World, is published.

Joseph Wills, from St Neots in Cambridgeshire, has lived with Arterial Tortuosity Syndrome, external since he was 10-months-old. The condition affects his heart and he has spent much of his life in hospital.

His wish to have a book published was granted by the Starlight Foundation, external, which works with seriously ill young people.
