Peterborough Hospital 'fat suit' shows effects of obesity
Hospital staff have been learning how to deal with obese patients by wearing a so-called "fat suit".
NHS figures show the number of obese people in the UK has almost doubled over the past 20 years. Now Peterborough City Hospital wants its staff to understand how to deal with overweight patients with limited mobility.
The £1,000 bariatric suit, which gives the wearer the proportions of a 40 stone (254kg) patient, was bought by a hospital charity.
