Cornwall military veterans build pilot gig

A team of injured military veterans have built their own pilot rowing gig.

The project started last year, teaching veterans new skills to construct one of the traditional vessels once used to escort ships into harbours.

The gig was launched in Falmouth and then rowed to the Isles of Scilly for the World Pilot Gig Championships at the end of April.
