Dolphin rescued off the Lizard, Cornwall and released

A dolphin which was stranded on the coast has been rescued and released back into the sea.

The young female was looked after by members off the public before the British Divers Marine Life Rescue Group arrived.

The dolphin was initially covered in seaweed to stop her skin drying out and to prevent sunburn.

She was found at Polpeor Cove at Lizard Point, Cornwall, by a walker on Saturday.
