Dolphins spotted playing near surfers in Cornwall
Some surfers got a surprise in Cornwall when a pod of dolphins came to play near them.
They were spotted leaping over the waves at Porthgwidden beach in St Ives by an off-duty Coastwatch volunteer.
The bottlenose dolphins approached the surfers in this instance, but it is an offence in the UK to disturb a dolphin, external under the Wildlife and Countryside act 1981.
