Stratford-upon-Avon calls for Shakespeare 'play makers'

The people of Stratford-upon-Avon are being invited to become volunteer "play makers" to help mark the 450th anniversary of the birth of the town's most famous resident, William Shakespeare, on 26 and 27 April.

The idea for "play makers" was inspired by the London 2012 Olympics' "Games makers" - an army of volunteers who helped direct visitors around different events.

The tourist industry is worth hundreds of millions of pounds to Stratford.
