M40 driver caught steering car transporter with elbow

A driver was caught by police using only his elbow to steer a car transporter on a motorway.

He was filmed by officers in an unmarked HGV on the M40 near Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The driver put his hand on the wheel when the officers caught his attention, National Highways said.

The organisation said he was among several incidents of distracted driving they recorded in late January and early February.
