Brampton dairy farmer's herd culling woe
A Cumbrian farmer fears he could be facing the heartbreak of culling his entire dairy herd after it is hit by a rare bovine illness.
Duncan Maughan, who farms near Brampton, has already lost 135 cows and says his family face ruin if the rest have to go.
The disease in his herd came from imported animals, and his insurance company has told him he is not covered for the losses.
