Humberside Port 'will need skilled workers'
Hundreds of jobs could be created in the Lincolnshire and Humberside regions when a major new port development arrives, industry leaders have said.
Matt Jukes, port director of Associated British Ports (ABP) in Hull and Goole, has called for a retraining of the workforce in time for the multi-million pound investment in the region by the wind turbine manufacturer Siemens.
It is estimated the project could create 700 direct jobs and thousands more in the supply chain.
