Derbyshire MP wants anti-scam mail legislation

A Derbyshire MP is lobbying to get new legislation to ban scam mail.

Heather Wheeler, South Derbyshire Conservative MP, said thousands of people are being duped into sending cash in response to bogus competitions.

She wants Royal Mail to intercept the scam mail at sorting offices.

John Hess spoke to scam victim Hannelore Peat and Trading Standards spokesman Keith Regan about the campaign.
