Derby's Rolls-Royce site being renovated for community
Work is under way at a derelict Rolls-Royce site where the Silver Ghost car was manufactured.
The main works on Nightingale Road closed in 2008 but in its heyday it played a major role in Britain's wartime efforts, producing the Merlin aircraft engines.
It was built to move production of the Silver Ghost car to Derby from Manchester, in 1908.
The building also boasts a marble hall, used to impress clients visiting the site.
