Bakewell puddings heading from Derbyshire to Japan

A bakery in Derbyshire has been working overtime to fulfil an order for nearly 15,000 Bakewell puddings for a British food festival in Japan.

Richard Nealon, who owns Bloomers Craft Bakery, said they had originally planned to transport the ingredients to the festival and bake the puddings there, but when they saw the size of the order they realised it was "impossible" to do.

He told BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams that staff had been baking, freezing and packing the puddings at a rate of more than 1,000 a day.
