WWII American soldiers remembered in Tavistock

American soldiers who arrived in a Devon town 70 years ago have been remembered.

Tavistock was used by a division of the United States Army as its headquarters before the soldiers were sent to France for the D-Day Landings.

Many of the soldiers died during an assault on Omaha Beach in France.
