Teignmouth cafe targets seagulls with water pistols

Seagulls intent on stealing food are being scared away from a Devon cafe with water pistols.

Mark Riddick from the Dairy Maid Cafe in Teignmouth said he was fed up with the hungry gulls attacking his customers as they tried to eat their food outside.

The birds are protected, but Mr Riddick insists a squirt from the water pistols does not harm them, but just "shocks" them enough to deter them.
