Cider apple growers hopeful of bumper crop

Cider apple crops are predicted to be the best in 10 years following ideal weather conditions.

The National Association of Cider Makers said orchards are blossoming.

This view has been echoed by apple growers in Devon who said they expect the crop will be 50% higher than last years' harvest.

It follows a hard year for many cider producers which saw yields fall by 30% in 2012.
