Trekking twins ready for Greenland

Identical twins from Devon are making final preparations for very different expeditions across Greenland.

Hugo and Ross Turner from Christow are using the Arctic trek to raise money for Spinal Research, after Hugo narrowly missed being paralysed in an accident on a beach in Cornwall as a teenager.

Hugo Turner will be dressed in modern protective clothing, and his twin will be in similar kit to that used by polar explorers 100 years ago.

The department of twins research at King's College London will monitor if and how Hugo benefits from advances in modern technology and nutrition.

Emma Ruminski reports.
