Dads throw best shapes in Devon dance championship

The World Dad Dancing Championships, a chance for fathers to show off their best dance-floor moves, has been held in south Devon.

Saturday's annual event at Beeson, near Kingsbridge in Devon, was "time for dads to dust off their best, or worst, dad dancing moves," organiser Ian Blackwell said.

It was part of a Dadfest festival with a "focus on fun, adventurous activities that dads can enjoy with their children".

The winner was Dean Wakefield, who won a statuette and his height in beer - measured by the number of pint glasses to equal his height.
