Dedicated police drone unit 'first in UK'

Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police have launched what they say is the first dedicated police drone unit in the UK.

The "cost effective" drones are used for missing person searches, crime scene photography, road crashes, coastal searches and firearm or terrorist incidents.

The unit currently has three staff but could have up to 40 trained officers in the future.
