London 2012 Olympic legacy ideas for Weymouth and Portland

Ideas about how best to build on the legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events at Weymouth and Portland have been discussed by local authorities in Dorset.

Plans include sporting and music events as part of a "summer to remember" festival.

In the run-up to the Games, £120m was spent on transport and £8m at the National Sailing Academy.

But some tourist businesses blamed warnings about congestion for dissuading visitors from coming into the resort during the Olympics.
