Pupils awarded for Red Arrows inspired aviation project

The first students to complete an aviation-themed project inspired by a Red Arrows pilot have been presented with awards.

Twenty 13-15-year-old pupils from Glenmoor and Winton Academies in Bournemouth took part in the Jon Egging Trust's Blue Skies Programme.

The tasks completed were aimed at building confidence and self-belief.

Jon Egging, 33, died when his Hawk T1 jet crashed following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival in 2011.

BBC South Today's Sarah Farmer reports.
