Blind woman's book saved by forensic experts

A blind woman who has terminal cancer is about to realise her dream of having her own novel published.

Trish Vickers, from Charmouth, Dorset, started handwriting her book Grannifer's Legacy after losing her sight 11-years ago, but did not know 26 pages were blank because her pen had run out of ink.

However, forensic experts at Dorset Police have managed to save her story and it is being published by Bridport firm Magic Oxgren.
