A12 closure: Long delays after lorry hits bridge

Motorists faced long delays when the A12 in Essex was closed in both directions for several hours after a lorry struck a bridge near Kelvedon.

A low-loader lorry transporting a crane hit the bridge shortly before 09:00 9BST. Structural engineers were sent to examine the damage before the road was re-opened.
