Plans for £130m Stansted Airport arrivals terminal approved

A new £130m arrivals terminal is to be built at London Stansted Airport after planning permission was approved by the local council.

The 34,000 sq m (365,972 sq ft) building will sit alongside the existing terminal, which will be redeveloped into a departures-only site, with more space at check-in and security.

The new site, which will include larger immigration and baggage reclaim areas, will take three years to build once construction starts at the end of 2018.
