Cyclist Jamie McDonald passes current static bike record
A cyclist says he has set new world record for the longest marathon static cycle ride.
Jamie McDonald, 26, has been cycling on the spot at Gloucester Docks for more than a week, taking only 90 minute sleep breaks.
Earlier, he passed the record of 224 hours, 24 minutes and 24 seconds set by Patrizio Sciroli in Italy in 2011 but decided to continue cycling.
He said: "I've been cycling for 11 days straight - am I hallucinating?.
"This is just mind blowing."
The attempt has yet to be verified by officials from Guinness World Records.
