Row over Gloucestershire police chief appointment
A row has erupted over how the new chief constable of Gloucestershire was appointed as the force crime panel prepares to meet to approve the selection of Suzette Davenport for the job.
The chairman of the Gloucestershire police and crime panel is angry that the first he heard of her selection was on the BBC.
Brian Coleway claims commissioner Martyn Surl should have waited until the panel had met before revealing the appointment.
Steve Brodie reports.
