Mounted police in Gloucestershire for research project

Mounted police have been patrolling parts of Gloucestershire as part of research into the effectiveness of officers on horseback.

Due to budget cuts, many forces have been cutting down on mounted police but some believe that may have been a false economy.

Steve Knibbs reports from Cirencester and Gloucester, and speaks to Ben Bradford - criminology lecturer at the University of Oxford - and Rod Hansen, deputy chief constable with Gloucestershire Constabulary.
