Coastal management scheme completed at Steart Marshes near Bridgwater
The UK's biggest ever coastal management scheme has been completed at Steart Marshes near Bridgwater.
An old sea wall has been deliberately breached to allow sea water to flood a newly cut channel to create a saltmarsh nature reserve.
The scheme has taken five years to complete and cost £21m.
