Tewkesbury lollipop lady Betty Ealand's 40 years' service

A party has been held to thank Gloucestershire's longest serving lollipop lady who has helped thousands of people cross the road safely over the past 40 years.

Betty Ealand, 70, has been on school crossing patrol duty in Tewkesbury twice a day during term time, come rain or shine.

A special reception has been held in the town hall to thank her.

Mrs Ealand said she loves the job and has no plans to retire.
